What is a celebrant?
A celebrant is someone who writes and leads ceremonies that aren't bound by religious or legal frameworks. That means I can tailor every word to the people at the centre of the day. A celebrant-led ceremony can happen anywhere, include anything meaningful to you, and take whatever shape you want it to take.

How far in advance should I book?
For weddings, the earlier the better. Popular months (May, June, July, September) tend to book up 12 to 18 months ahead. For farewells, there's no advance notice possible. I keep my schedule flexible so I can respond quickly when families reach out.

What happens if it rains?
For outdoor ceremonies, we'll always have a plan B. A sheltered alternative, a tent, a barn, whatever your venue offers. I bring rain-ready notes and the same calm presence regardless of the weather.

Funeral-Specific Questions
Can we choose our own celebrant or does the funeral director choose?
You choose. Always. You don't have to accept whoever the funeral director suggests. Most funeral directors are more than happy to work alongside an independent celebrant, and I'll handle that conversation if it helps.
